The 'Hello Kitten' project began when Kavel Rafferty found a bundle of late 50s Swedish porn magazines at a local flea market. Kavel has combined inky drawings of her favorite women with the other calendar staple, kittens, (the kittens come from her vintage postcard collection) left over remnants of paint palettes and found imagery to make these slightly surreal and beautiful mix media collages. Kavel has played with scale and colour in these 'pop porn' images creating one calendar girl for every month of the year.
